He’s Not Letting His Dad Give A Speech At His Wedding Because His Dad Just Plans To Praise His Stepmom, Disregarding His Late Birth Mom

So he decided to confront his dad, telling him he knew about the speech and didn’t have permission to give it at his wedding.

His dad asked why not, and he told him he didn’t want him to use his wedding as an excuse to praise his wife.

He told his dad that while his stepmom may mean the world to him, in his eyes, she’ll never compare to his birth mom, and he doesn’t want to be reminded of how little she meant to his dad on his wedding day.

“I [told him] that this is mine and my fiancée’s wedding, not his,” he added.

“I told him to get married again if all he wanted to do was praise his wife, but that was not happening at my wedding. He told me to stop acting like a little boy and grow up.”

Should he reconsider letting his dad speak at his wedding and edit his speech, or ban him from speaking at all?
