“She asked what I meant, and I told her she obviously had everything my ex could ever want, and I was the one he didn’t want, so she shouldn’t try to imitate me,” she said.
“He clearly had a taste for something different. She messaged me back, saying she was trying to pay me a compliment.”
“Then my ex texted me saying we were amicable before, and he didn’t understand why I was causing an issue now.”
“He’s right that we were both over our marriage, but I felt like her trying to take over where I left off aesthetically was too much. My friends and family are divided.”
She doesn’t see how she was wrong to tell her ex’s affair partner to take a hike over asking for home decor tips, but she’s wondering if maybe it was mean, given the feedback of some of her loved ones.
What do you think? Should she have tried to play nice with this girl, or did she have every right to tell her off?
