Her Sister Eloped A Year Ago Without Even Telling Her, So She’s Not Lending Her Wedding Dress To Her Sister Now For A Formal Ceremony With Friends And Family

She wound up telling Emily that while she was happy about her ceremony, she didn’t feel comfortable lending out her dress, given how personal it was to her.

Her sister didn’t get that. She was accused of being selfish and told that, as sisters, they should “share” their special moments.

“Emily even hinted that I was still holding a grudge over not being invited to her elopement, which, to be fair, still stings a little,” she vented.

Nonetheless, their mom has taken Emily’s side, saying it’s “just a dress” and that she’s overreacting. Only a few of her friends agree that she has every right to say no to her sister.

All the mixed opinions have left her wondering if refusing to lend her wedding gown is justified or actually does make her a jerk.

Is it ironic that Emily stated sisters should share special moments, but she wasn’t invited to the elopement? Should it be up to her what she does with her wedding dress?
