“Exactly, just go and have your own trip with your son. Try to stay away from him and his kids and just enjoy your time with your kid, he’ll appreciate it!”
“If the guy gets annoyed just be honest and say “I’m not comfortable with continuing this relationship, let’s just keep it as friends”. Once you get home, just go no contact, you don’t deserve to be a place holder while he finds out if the other girl is better for him than you, or while he has his fun before “settling down” with you.”
“This just sucks. I would bet a girl half his age is going to eventually decide that grandpa is not who she wants. But that could take a while, and if you’re already emotionally out of this relationship, then just have fun with your son and make it friendly.”
“Then when you get home, take care of yourself. You still have lots of good years ahead of you, so take your time and find the right guy.”
