She Let Her Best Friend’s Estranged Father Into Their Wedding, And It Caused A Massive Scene
This woman has known her two best friends, David and Sierra, for a really long time.
In fact, she has been friends with David since high school– which was about twelve years ago– and has known Sierra for eight years.
But, in getting to know David, she also learned that his father was a complete jerk. Plus, he and David have now been estranged for a long while.
Nonetheless, she also knew David’s most secret hopes about his father-son relationship.
“I know it is his deepest desire to earn his father’s approval and have some sort of relationship with him,” she explained.
Although, this knowledge ultimately presented her with a huge problem when it came time to celebrate David and Sierra’s wedding last week.
She was Sierra’s maid of honor and knew that David’s father was not invited due to their estrangement. However, on the day of the ceremony, the father apparently showed up and tried to enter the venue anyway.
And since she was the maid of honor, the venue staff called her over to assist in explaining why his father was not allowed into the ceremony.
“I was shocked that David’s father was there since I knew David believed he would never attend with or without an invitation,” she recalled.

“Then, I started to tell him he needed to leave, but he did something I had never seen him do in twelve years– he apologized.”
This took her aback even more, and David’s father went on to explain how he simply wanted to watch his oldest son get married. The father even promised to just sit in the back and not make a fuss.
So, she was torn and forced to make an impossible decision– keep the father out and risk David getting angry, or vice versa.
Still, though, she truly believed in her heart that David would have wanted his father to see him get married. In turn, she ultimately decided to let him into the ceremony.
The first person to notice David’s father was there was the best man, Walter. And even though Walter wholeheartedly wanted to kick David’s father out, she was able to convince him to back down and let the father stay.
And thankfully, the ceremony went off beautifully and without a hitch. Afterward, though, all hell was unleashed.
Once all of the wedding guests stood up to move to the reception hall, David’s brother, Jeremy, spotted their father in the crowd.
Jeremy immediately approached him and got into a verbal altercation with his father. Then, they eventually took it outside– which definitely put a damper on the wedding festivities.
And ever since the wedding, Walter, Jeremy, and some of their other friends have entirely blamed her for letting David’s father in.
David and Sierra, on the other hand, have claimed that they are not angry at her. However, they tend to be the kind of people who will forgive anyone for anything– which has only made her worry more.
“I think I ruined their wedding,” she revealed, “And the biggest reason I might be the jerk is that, deep down, a part of me still feels like I did the right thing.”
So now, she is utterly divided about whether she acted with her best judgment or basically ruined the wedding by not getting David’s personal approval first.
If you were in her shoes, what would you have said to David’s father? Do you think she was acting in David’s best interest or not?
