Thompson returned to the restaurant and said she would gather her family members from outside.
“I’ll be right back in,” said Thompson before leaving.
During that time, Kellie stepped away from the hostess stand for a few minutes while a different hostess took over. Here’s where the story gets messed up! Then Trish, the woman with the party of seven, walked up to the new hostess and asked, “You guys called Thompson, party of eight?”
Trish pretended to be someone else just so she could get seated sooner! The hostess sat Trish’s party at what was supposed to be Thompson’s table. Moments later, Kelly gathers the Thompson party only to lead them to an occupied table.
Kellie had to professionally ask Trish’s party to return to the restaurant lobby since that table had been reserved before their walk-in. Not surprisingly, someone in Trish’s gave her attitude and lied about having a reservation. Someone even asked Kellie, “What are you gonna do if we’re not gonna get up?”
“Well, if you wanna remain at a table in which you’re not gonna be served for the rest of the night, that’s totally up to you,” Kellie responded.
Eventually, Trish’s party got up, Thompson’s party was seated, and all was well. But can you believe the audacity of that other party? Kellie tells her viewers that if anyone is ever in that kind of situation, they most definitely need to tell the restaurant manager.
“A good manager wants to help you,” says Kellie. “A good manager wants to accommodate you.”
