“I’m furious, and so is my fiancé,” she said.
“When we found out it would be the same date, I insisted my mom come to my wedding and not the birth because I announced the wedding date before Kimberly got pregnant.”
Having to choose between your daughter’s wedding and the birth of your grandchild is a tricky one. Ultimately, their mother decided to stay at the wedding instead of attending the birth.
“My entire family is split down the middle as to whether my mom should be in attendance at my wedding or the birth of Kimberly’s first child,” she explained.
“Mom is definitely the favored parent, and the wedding is happening across the country from where Kimberly plans to give birth. This has torn my family apart.”
She feels that Kimberly should have listened to her and stopped trying to get pregnant to avoid interfering with her wedding.
Do you think there’s a way for their mom to compromise not being at one of the events of the other?
