“But I was failing. She couldn’t wait any longer,” she recalled.
Whenever the line stopped moving, her daughter began to scream out of frustration. She then tried to pick up the toddler during these instances, but apparently, that only made everything worse.
In fact, her daughter just started thrashing around and screaming louder. So, at that point, she noticed other people staring and muttering comments under their breath.
They were saying things like, “She needs to control her kid,” and, “That’s just ridiculous. Why bring your kid if they act like that?”
The final remark that seriously pushed her over the edge, though, was when another parkgoer claimed, “A swift spanking will fix that.”
By that point, she had had enough and snapped– telling everyone that her daughter had brain damage and could not help it. Afterward, she also became so upset that she and her daughter wound up leaving the park.
And while heading home, she honestly believed everyone else was in the wrong for not understanding her daughter’s behavior. But, ever since talking to a friend, she has started to question her judgment.
“They said her screaming is unpleasant, and it possibly ruined people’s day,” she revealed.
So now, she has been left wondering whether bringing her daughter to Disney and possibly “ruining” other parkgoers’ trips was the wrong thing to do.
Wasn’t she just trying to bring her daughter some joy by taking her to Disney? Should she feel guilty about that? Or should she just do what is best for her and her daughter? How would you have responded to the rude remarks if you had been in her shoes?
