“I went along with it and didn’t say anything,” she said. “I also was rude and judgmental. I’m not at all proud of the way I was. Quite the opposite, actually…I was a silent bystander.”
When Anne brought up their past, she apologized immediately. She acknowledged that she was not a good friend and wished she could take it all back.
She also explained to her that she was a confused girl who didn’t know what she wanted until later in life.
Anne did not accept this apology and instead asked her why she didn’t apologize sooner through social media.
“I don’t use social media much,” she added. “I simply said I was sorry and didn’t know any better. I said I honestly didn’t think she’d want to hear about any of this.”
Anne left, saying that she should have apologized years ago. Anne called her entitled and even told her that her wife and daughter deserved better.
Do you think there was anything else she could have done in this situation?
