In 2015, She Vanished Not Long After Someone Called 911 To Report That Her Boyfriend Kidnapped Her And Put Her In A Straitjacket
In 2014, Megan Foglesong was a 21-year-old living in Alden, Kansas, known among her loved ones as an energetic, kind, and happy-go-lucky young woman.
She was originally from Oneida, Illinois, but moved to Alden shortly before she mysteriously disappeared. Megan was also in a relationship with her boyfriend, David.
In December of that year, one of David’s friends– a woman named Kelly – placed a 911 call to report a crime. While speaking with authorities, Kelly claimed that David had kidnapped and placed Megan in a straitjacket. Additionally, David allegedly threatened to kill her.
This pushed authorities to interview both David and Megan. But, after speaking with the couple, the police report was apparently dismissed. At the time, Megan reportedly claimed that she was fine and had not been kidnapped.
Regardless, she was seemingly still shaken by that incident, which pushed her to move back home to Oneida, Illinois.
The pair reportedly had a tumultuous, off-and-on relationship. Even though they had broken up numerous times in the past, Megan and David kept getting back together.
So, by June 2015, Megan wound up moving back to Alden and reconciling her relationship with David once again– despite the dismay of her family and friends.
Afterward, it is believed that the last confirmed sighting of Megan was when she left David’s home on December 1, 2015. That day, the pair reportedly got into an argument, and Megan decided to leave.
Then, six days later, on December 7, 2015, a friend of Megan’s received a message from her– in which she said, “I’m fine.” However, it remains unclear whether or not Megan was really the person who sent that message.

Soon afterward, police then received another report from a different friend– claiming that Megan had called them and asked for a ride.
But, after the friend arrived to pick up Megan in the area she claimed to be in, they recalled how they could not locate her.
And on Christmas Day, there was one last sighting of Megan. That day, a man claimed to have spotted her at a local liquor store– although this report remains unconfirmed.
Yet, it was not until February 2016 that Megan was actually reported missing. The report was filed by her family members, who had not seen or heard from her in two months.
Megan was a young woman known to be spontaneous and lead a somewhat unstructured lifestyle. However, after such an extended period of no contact, her loved ones suspected something was wrong.
And after she was reported missing, her boyfriend, David, quickly became a person of interest in her disappearance.
He first led police on a high-speed chase in February 2017. Afterward, his home was then searched– leading authorities to discover an illegal AK-47 and 24 pipe bombs.
Later, on April 29, 2019, David had a fatal run-in with investigators. It all began after he was pulled over by authorities for a warrant.
Then, while in his father’s home, he was involved in a shootout– ultimately shooting the Rice County Sheriff, killing his father, and taking his own life.
Following this tragic event, authorities traveled to David’s former home in October 2019. While there, they dug up David’s former pet dog’s grave.
This action supported a circulating theory that David had killed Megan and fed her to his dog before subsequently killing his dog.
Although, this effort did not lead to the uncovering of any new evidence. Instead, Megan’s case has remained unsolved for over 7 years now.
Her friends and loved ones have continued searching for answers– creating a Facebook page entitled “Bring Megan Home.” There, they have continued spreading awareness about Megan’s case to the page’s follower base of over 9,400 people.
At the time of her disappearance, Megan was five foot five, weighed approximately 150 pounds, and had blonde hair and green eyes. She had various tattoos, including a dream catcher on her left calf and an infinity symbol on her upper right chest. Megan also wore glasses and occasionally dyed her hair.
