It’s gotten so bad that she began taking on more errands like grocery shopping all by herself to have some alone time.
Still, whenever she expresses that she’d like to be in a room alone for a few hours, he gets angry and dismissive of her needs.
Now, she has to do whatever it takes to have a moment to herself.
“I frequently wear earbuds around the house, sometimes not even playing anything, to cancel out some noise,” she added.
“If I’m in a room alone and he enters without an obvious plan to interact with me, I’ll get up and move to a different room where I can continue to be by myself.”
Instead of asking her boyfriend to leave a room she’s in, she takes it upon herself to get out of there. When she does this, her boyfriend thinks she’s being passive-aggressive and gets frustrated at the idea of her being mad at him. In the end, she simply wants some space.
Do you think she’s being passive-aggressive or doing what she needs to do for herself?
