This 29-year-old woman will be getting married to the love of her life– her 30-year-old fiancé– in just a few short months.

They were first childhood friends, then became high school sweethearts.

“He’s truly my best friend and everything I want in life,” she said.

However, they both decided to wait to get married until they were more well-off financially. That way, they’d be able to afford a magical, once-in-a-lifestime evening.

Her 21-year-old sister Stacy, on the other hand, got married at 19-years-old. And her sister had only been with the guy for five months before he decided to propose.

So, unlike her upcoming event, Stacy’s big day was extremely rushed. Her sister’s wedding was small and just took place in a courtroom.

“No dress or party, just a legal wedding,” she recalled.

“And half of our family couldn’t even make it because of how soon it was planned and set up.”

But while she hasn’t even finished planning her big day, her wedding has already cost her and her fiancé about $19,000. And it took them ages to save up that much cash and coordinate everything.

Recently, though, her sister had dinner at her house and wound up approaching her with a request for her lavish wedding.

“Stacy asked if she could walk down my aisle and meet her husband, so she could feel ‘like a bride,'” she revealed.

After hearing that request, she honestly just laughed and asked if her sister was being serious. Well, unfortunately, it soon became clear that Stacy was dead serious.

Her sister claimed to have never gotten a “magic moment” at her wedding. So, Stacy really wanted to feel special for once.

Her sister also promised that the whole thing would just stay between them and that Stacy walking down the aisle would not take anything away from her.

At that point, she actually wanted to hear more about her sister’s plan and asked what Stacy might wear for something like that. But Stacy just pulled out some photos of actual wedding dresses, which completely turned her off to the whole idea.

Still, while she thought turning her sister down was justified because it was supposed to be her special wedding day,  Stacy would not stop asking her to walk down the aisle.

And just yesterday, her sister even decided to ask in front of her fiancé in an attempt to pressure her!

Thankfully, her fiancé also thought the request was a joke and simply laughed before saying no.

However, her own mom and Stacy’s husband have actually accused her of being a jerk since her sister is not rich and cannot afford to have another wedding, even if Stacy wants to.

“But neither are me and my future husband. We just planned for years. I just wanted one day for myself,” she vented.

Nonetheless, after getting pushback from her mom, she’s not sure if she’s blowing the situation out of proportion and if refusing to let her sister walk down the aisle at her wedding really does make her a jerk.

How would you feel if your sister wanted to walk down the aisle at your wedding? Can you believe her sister even asked that? Does she have a right to want her wedding to be her special day and her’s only? What would you do?
