He noticed that some of the people there were giving Mark a puzzled look, clearly confused about who this man was and why Santana was so thrilled to see him.
Mark let out a laugh and explained to the group that Greg was Santana’s nanny. However, he had had enough of this rude joke and decided to stand up to Mark by telling everyone the truth.
“I shook my head and said, ‘I’m her stepfather, Greg. Nice to meet you all.’ Mark turned red and barely said goodbye to Santana. I didn’t think much of it outside Mark just being Mark,” he said.
However, later that day, Mark texted Greg’s wife about the incident and claimed that Greg had completely humiliated him in front of his family. Mark didn’t understand why Greg had to say anything, considering he would likely never see Mark’s family again.
“My wife told him he was overreacting, and he then texted me, saying I had no right to correct him in his own home. He asked what was the big deal in his family thinking I’m her nanny,” he stated.
Do you think that Greg was right to correct Mark in front of his family? Or do you think it was disrespectful? Why didn’t Mark want his family to know the truth?
