She Told Her Friend That She Should’ve Known Better After Getting Pregnant With A Man Who Is Married

This 23-year-old woman has been best friends with Maggie, also 23, since they were kids. Maggie is a gorgeous woman and easy to talk to and be friends with.
However, Maggie only seems to be attracted to rich men at least 10 years older than her who already have wives and children.
According to Maggie, she isn’t interested in these men because they’re rich; she claims that she just happens to be physically attracted to these men.
Maggie’s habit of dating these types of men has always grossed her out, and it’s caused tension within their friendship.
A while ago, Maggie posted a story on her social media, and a man who she’d never met named Max, 39, responded to it.
From then on, Maggie and Max began talking, and Maggie became obsessed with him. She was constantly gushing about him and showing her photos of him.
Even though she knew it was none of her business, she couldn’t get it out of her head that something seemed off about Max. However, she didn’t confront Maggie about her concerns because she didn’t want to cause any drama.
After talking for about four months, Maggie met Max in person a couple of times. Later, Maggie introduced her to Max, and despite Maggie assuring her that he was single, she knew that Max seemed sketchy.
But at the time, she brushed it off as her feeling creeped out and concerned because he was so much older than Maggie and he was really mean when she met him.

“A few days ago, Maggie came to my house, and she was crying. At this point, I already had an idea of what was happening,” she said.
“She told me she got pregnant by Max, and when she told him, he dropped the big bomb: he was married with two toddlers and couldn’t take responsibility for the baby.”
When Maggie was venting about the situation, she told her that she was shocked because Max had told her that she was his soulmate.
He promised to get married to her one day, and he said, “She was everything he could ever want.”
While listening to Maggie, her heart went out to her because it was clear that Max hadn’t been honest with Maggie from the very beginning, and it appeared that Maggie had genuinely believed Max was single and wanted to be with her.
“I told her that I’m so sorry about what happened, but she should know better at this point, and she should have been more careful,” she explained.
Apparently, when Max told Maggie he wasn’t married or dating anyone, she didn’t verify his claim.
Later on, she did her own digging, and when she looked at Max’s social media profile, she saw photos he’d posted of him and another woman, plus photos of his two children. She wasn’t sure if Maggie had seen these photos or not.
At this point, Maggie was sobbing hysterically, so she consoled her and then gave Maggie a ride home.
After that, Maggie refused to talk to her or acknowledge her at all.
“I talked about this with another close friend to me and Maggie, and she told me that I was too harsh and I lacked tact,” she shared.
In her friend’s view, Max was manipulative in his relationship with Maggie, and he fooled her into believing he was single and truly in love with her.
Do you think she was wrong to tell Maggie that she should have known better?
