His Friend Watched Him Win $13,000 Online And Decided To Try It, But Now He’s Being Blamed For His Friend Losing $900

A while ago, this guy started to get involved in online games and actually won a large sum of money– $13,000, to be exact. So, the windfall was understandably a huge deal for him.
One of his friends just so happened to be there when he won the money, too, and after seeing how much cash he was able to get, his friend also became really interested in what he was doing.
That’s why his friend decided to get involved and simply assumed that he would get just as lucky.
“But let me say [that] luck comes and goes. One day, you’re up big, and the next day, it’s a loss. [It] is fun first and not a way to make money,” he said.
Regardless, he didn’t give it much thought when his friend got really excited about the possibility of winning big and decided to give it a shot. More recently, though, he found out that his friend never actually won anything.
Instead, his friend actually lost about $900, has been really upset about it, and is now blaming him for being in the negatives.
“Saying if he hadn’t seen me win, he wouldn’t have started…in the first place,” he recalled.
Seeing his friend so distraught made him feel kind of responsible for the financial loss, too. Still, he also realizes that people are responsible for making their own decisions.
Plus, he didn’t make any promises that his friend would win a ton of money like he did or even encourage his friend to try it in the first place.

Rather, he’s always been sure to make it clear that it can be seriously unpredictable, so people should never take the decision lightly and proceed with “caution and moderation.”
Nonetheless, he isn’t sure if he should have been even more “vocal” about the risks associated, and he can’t help but feel like he’s the reason his friend lost $900.
“Now, I’m stuck feeling guilty for something I’m not sure is my fault. I sympathize with his loss, truly, but is it fair for him to lay the blame on me?” he asked.
This has left him wondering if he’s really a jerk for winning $13,000 and basically inspiring his friend to get into it, only for his friend to lose out on funds.
Do you think it’s his fault that his friend lost money? Or do you agree that it was his friend’s decision to try it out? Should he feel guilty or not?
