Archaeologists In Germany Discovered An “Exceptionally Well-Preserved” Roman Era Wooden Cellar That Managed To Survive A House Fire And Remain Intact For Centuries

Over the years, many finds have been excavated in Nida. The ancient city of Nida was founded in 110 A.D. by Emperor Trajan.

It did not thrive for long because a series of attacks by the Alamanni, a northern German tribe, led to its decline in 260 A.D.

Since it served as a regional capital during Roman times, the city was rife with artifacts. However, most of them were not as well-preserved, which makes the recently discovered cellar unique in several ways.
