As a child, Cajairah Fraise grew up in southern California and had a tight-knit relationship with her two siblings.

“She and her brother and sister are like three peas in a pod. They have been best friends with each other their whole life,” Cajairah’s mother, Karah, said.

As a teen, Cajairah attended Beaumont High School and was on her school’s track and field team.

Then, at 22-years-old, in 2023, Cajairah was living in Moreno Valley, California, with her parents. In February of that year, she was also eight months pregnant and excitedly expecting to deliver her baby boy on March 29, 2023.

“She was just completely excited and shocked. She couldn’t believe it – just the thought of a baby growing inside you,” Karah recalled of her daughter’s pregnancy.

Yet, just one month before her due date, Cajairah disappeared after what started as a normal day with her mom.

It all began on February 23, 2023, when Cajairah and Karah spent the day together. First, they went to the gym to have a spa day before running some errands.

“We went to, like, two or three appointments or things that she would need for the baby, so we were just running errands,” Karah explained.

Afterward, Cajairah wanted to visit her maternal grandmother’s home. So, Karah called her husband – Cajairah’s father – Jamel and asked if he would travel with them. Apparently, Karah was not feeling very well and wanted Jamel to drive them.

So, Jamel met up with his wife and daughter, and the trio began their trip. However, Cajairah eventually became hungry, and they wound up stopping to get food at a Jack in the Box located in Beaumont.

But, once they arrived and began going through the drive-through, Cajairah actually exited the car without “saying much.” Karah claimed to have no clue why her daughter had gotten out of their car.

Nonetheless, Cajairah proceeded to stand in front of the drive-through while her parents ordered food in the drive-through. This was the last time Karah and Jamel saw their daughter.

“He pulled forward. He looked at her. She was still standing there,” Karah said.

“He backed the car up, paid for the food, pulled back forward, and she was gone. So the last time we saw her was when she was standing at the end of the drive-through. She literally disappeared in minutes.”

After realizing Cajairah was gone, Karah and her husband immediately got out of the car and began searching for their daughter. Then, they started driving around the surrounding region, and when they couldn’t find Cajairah, they contacted the Beaumont Police Department to report her missing.

An investigation was launched into her disappearance, and it was confirmed that Cajairah was last seen at the Jack in the Box located at 89 Beaumont Avenue at 10:39 p.m. on February 23, 2023.

Security cameras at a nearby charter school captured footage of Cajairah walking south by herself, away from the Jack in the Box and behind some businesses in the same shopping center.

Investigators also conducted various ground searches along Highway 79 between Hemet and Beaumont.

“Those searches included officers searching on foot, K9, drone/UAS, as well as helicopter and plane. Information was also distributed to hospitals, clinics, mental health facilities, shelters, and other organizations throughout Riverside County, San Bernardino County, and Nevada,” stated Public Information Officer Marcedes Cashmer.

Karah has since claimed to believe that Cajairah might have been dealing with a medical emergency – prompting her to walk away. While foul play currently is not suspected in Cajairah’s disappearance, her case status was altered from voluntary missing person to critical missing person because of her due date and length of disappearance.

Karah also believes that her daughter might have been taken.

“I believe she was taken, and I believe in my heart that she’s being sheltered somewhere. Someone has her and hopefully the baby – and hopefully they’re taking care of her,” she said.

According to Officer Cashmer, there is currently no evidence suggesting Cajairah had been abducted.

Still, Karah continues holding onto hope that her daughter – whom she called a genuine and loving person – will be found.

“I believe she’s going to get back home. God will make a way for her,” she stated.

So, Cajairah’s family has created a Facebook page entitled “FindCajairah” to raise awareness about her case. Additionally, Cajairah’s loved ones were reportedly raising money to fund a private investigator, and Karah issued a message to her daughter.

“I love you so much. I would do anything to hug you, laugh with you, dance with you. I won’t give up finding you. I will fight for you. Give all I have for you,” she said.

Cajairah is five foot seven, weighs 160 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, grey sweatpants, and black slip-on shoes.

If you have any information regarding her disappearance or whereabouts, you are urged to contact the Beaumont Police Department at (951) 769-8500.
