“What you are dealing with today is necessary in order for you to one day be able to discern when a person is really right for you,” wrote Scott.
“I can also say that even though I was broken up with, and in one instance, cheated on, it was worth it to get where I am now.”
Scott reassured Fallon that he didn’t wish for one second to be with the women he was with before her mom, even though when he first split from them, he was heartbroken and sure he’d end up alone.
“Some of the best advice I can give you is this,” wrote Scott.
“When someone lets you know you are not for them, deal with the pain and hurt with the knowledge that this person just gave you back the most valuable thing in the world: your time.”
Speak on it, Scott!
Scott then poetically says it’s better to be grateful for your experience with that person and move on, knowing you can go off and live your life without being “shackled” to someone who did not want you.
Scott then ended his long, beautiful text with a metaphor. He explained that there is a difference between cows and bulls in a storm. Cows run from the storm but eventually end up being tortured by it as they keep themselves in it longer.
However, Scott says that bulls run toward storms and face them, as although it may be scary, they are strong enough to get through them.
“The storm passes them quickly, and they are soon in a peaceful place,” wrote Scott.
“So be the bull; lean into the storm. Embrace the ‘stuck’ and let it fill you up. You are strong enough to endure, and very soon, you will be at peace.”
