Her husband did leave work as soon as possible and got home at a decent time, but he decided to continue his tradition of sitting in the car for 10 minutes before going inside and getting her son.
“I was both shocked and angry, and I ran outside, and I asked how long he was sitting in the car,” she recalled.
“He told me it was around eight minutes [and] I asked why he didn’t come into the house immediately to help. He said he would after two more minutes, and I was so mad and hurt but tried to rush him. He insisted he wouldn’t feel ‘comfortable’ coming in until the 10 minutes were up.”
Her husband told her to go back inside and get their son ready for the hospital, but she was so angry that she continued to stand there and scream at him, telling him it was a family emergency and that he was “out of his mind.”
Thankfully, a neighbor intervened and offered to take her and her son to the hospital right away, and she accepted his offer. After they were there for a bit, her husband arrived, but she refused to talk to him.
When her son was released with a broken ankle, she decided to stay at her mom’s house and informed her husband that she wanted a divorce.
“He tried to rationalize and justify what he’s done, saying he could not help it and that he was nervous and wanted to help my son but felt stuck,” she added.
“I refused to reply to his messages.”
Is she being unreasonable by asking for a divorce?
