Cat Who Lived On The 9th Floor Of The Condo That Collapsed Found Alive

“I’m glad that this small miracle could bring some light into the lives of a hurting family today and provide a bright spot for our whole community in the midst of this terrible tragedy.”

An animal shelter called The Kitty Campus has been sharing photos of pets missing after the condo collapse, and one photo, in particular, caught someone’s eye; a photo of a black cat.

“Late Thursday evening, Officer Mary with MBAA reached out to us and told us that FEMA had a kitty that they believed to be Binx missing from #904. She asked if we could go pick it up and keep it safe and help identify it,” The Kitty Campus said in a Facebook post.

One of their volunteers went to pick up the cat, and it turned out that this cat was Binx.

“As you all now know, the positive ID was made and the cat was returned to the family who had already lost so much,” they continued.

The Kitty Campus then said more missing pets might still be alive and found as well.

“We remind you the pets missing from this building could still be out there… we must keep looking and helping these families however we can.”
