At this point in time, doctors are not sure if Maddy will remain paralyzed for the rest of her life or if she has a chance of recovering from the injury she suffered to her spinal cord when she was knocked out.
Maddy’s loved ones say she’s the type of person who always looks at things in a positive light, and she is dealing with what horrifically happened to her no differently; with a smile on her face.
“I just wanted to update everyone and say how much I appreciate everyone’s kind words and thoughts during this time,” Maddy shared in a Facebook post.
“It certainly hasn’t been easy, I still have no feeling from the waist down. Repeat MRI tomorrow, and hopefully start working with rehab and PT to get back on these bad boys.”
