After the photo went viral, Ryan humbly didn’t want to talk about that moment, but his coworker Cameron Abell did open up to KTVQ about how wonderful Ryan is as a person.
“That firefighter, Ryan, he was there, they were cleaning up the car accident, and so he took it upon himself to, to take the time to make those kids feel safe,” Cameron said.
“Ryan’s a really humble guy and he’s probably going to kill me for kind of putting him in the spotlight.”
Cameron concluded that Ryan felt he was just there doing the job a firefighter is supposed to do, and he did not want any kind of attention for doing something that’s all in a day’s work.
