A New Study Found That Inflammation During Pregnancy Is Linked To A Higher Risk Of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

W. Ian Lipkin, a professor of pathology and neurology, described how this research did not just begin yesterday.

And, it will not end tomorrow.

“This paper is the culmination of more than twenty years of data, sample collection, and analysis in collaboration with our colleagues in the Norwegian Institute of Public Health. Our future research will focus on finding the triggers for inflammation and links between those triggers and genetic susceptibility,” Lipkin said.
