She Was “Ghosted” By Her Date And Went Viral After Creating An “Exit Interview” To Find Out Why

Urban Dictionary defines ghosting as, “When a person cuts off all communication with the person they’re dating.”
This phenomenon has become all-too-common, with dating apps like Tinder, Bumble, and Hinge being the norm.
But, while most people settle for never finding out why, this Nashville woman took matters into her own hands.
Shanna, a thirty-year-old woman also known as @Riesling4Prez on TikTok, had found a possible match on Bumble.
The pair went out on a date, and Shanna thought they really hit it off. Afterward, though, the man never responded to her texts again.
Rather than be left wondering where she went wrong, Shanna decided to create an “exit interview.”
“I got tired of getting ghosted, so I created this to see where things went wrong,” Shanna captioned her TikTok video. There, she displayed screenshots of the six-question interview.
She asked questions such as, “Why’d you ghost Shanna?” and “What could Shanna do to stop getting ghosted?” Then, she asked her ex-dates to rate her hotness, personality, and jokes.

This TikTok of her bold idea went viral, garnering four million views and over two hundred thousand likes. While some users found the survey amusing, others viewed it as embarrassing and a sign of low self-esteem.
“Wait… so they ghosted, and now we’re expecting them to actually respond to a survey?” asked one user.
“This gives so much second-hand embarrassment. Even if it’s a ‘joke,’ it’s going to be perceived wrong, and he’ll feel like he’s special,” added another.
Another plethora of users also wondered why the questions were focused on Shanna. Instead, they felt that the “ghoster” was the problem and deserved to be questioned.
“Oh honey, wrong questions! These questions need to be about him,” wrote one user.
“I would add, ‘Do you consider yourself emotionally available? If not, why are you dating women instead of working on yourself?'” agreed another.
Perhaps surprisingly, her date actually did respond to the survey questions and was more forthcoming than the TikTok community expected. Shanna posted his responses in this follow-up video.
“I caught feelings too fast and don’t know what feelings are,” the man responded to Shanna’s question about why she was ghosted.
To avoid being ghosted again, the man said, “Date women because men are dumb.”
He also rated Shanna as “smoking hot” and said she had the “best” personality.
This TikTok also went viral and, this time, the comments were much more supportive of Shanna. They also applauded her date for being honest about his emotions.
“Truly shows just how much ghosting is more of a representation of them than a reflection of you. I love that you did this!” commented one user.
“His responses were very sweet, to be honest. I was not expecting this,” chimed in another.
Shanna fortunately gained some sense of closure and has since continued her online dating journey. To follow along or learn how to create your own “ghosting survey,” visit her TikTok account here.
