This TikTok of her bold idea went viral, garnering four million views and over two hundred thousand likes. While some users found the survey amusing, others viewed it as embarrassing and a sign of low self-esteem.
“Wait… so they ghosted, and now we’re expecting them to actually respond to a survey?” asked one user.
“This gives so much second-hand embarrassment. Even if it’s a ‘joke,’ it’s going to be perceived wrong, and he’ll feel like he’s special,” added another.
Another plethora of users also wondered why the questions were focused on Shanna. Instead, they felt that the “ghoster” was the problem and deserved to be questioned.
“Oh honey, wrong questions! These questions need to be about him,” wrote one user.
“I would add, ‘Do you consider yourself emotionally available? If not, why are you dating women instead of working on yourself?'” agreed another.
Perhaps surprisingly, her date actually did respond to the survey questions and was more forthcoming than the TikTok community expected. Shanna posted his responses in this follow-up video.
“I caught feelings too fast and don’t know what feelings are,” the man responded to Shanna’s question about why she was ghosted.
To avoid being ghosted again, the man said, “Date women because men are dumb.”
He also rated Shanna as “smoking hot” and said she had the “best” personality.
This TikTok also went viral and, this time, the comments were much more supportive of Shanna. They also applauded her date for being honest about his emotions.
