Her dad didn’t think it was odd, and she didn’t either. After her dad shared that information though, the night took a turn for the worst.
Her boyfriend started being extremely nasty to her dad to the point where she had to create a reason for them to exit on the early side.
As she was back in the car with her boyfriend heading home, her boyfriend absolutely freaked out on her.
“He started screaming at me for not telling him about my father and his ex,” she said. “He didn’t understand why I would hide something so “important” from him.”
“When I asked why it was so important for him, he came up with the most ridiculous reasons. He said that he had a right to know that his ex was a gold digger (I don’t know what he meant by that because my dad is not rich in any way. I guess he just associated dating older men with gold-digging).”
“He even suggested that she was only dating my dad to get close to him. I told him that they would probably break up soon anyway and that we won’t be forced to ever spend time with the two of them.”
Her boyfriend always claimed to be over his ex, yet here he was getting furious. She thought that was off, and she got upset with him.
“The nail in the coffin for me was when we got in a fight yesterday and he said something along the lines of “I didn’t start dating you for her to pop up in my life again like this,” she continued.
“I even felt like he tried blaming me for letting my dad date his ex.” Do you think it was wrong of her to not tell her boyfriend that her dad is dating his ex-girlfriend?
