After This Woman Did Not Respond To An Unsolicited Picture From Her Tinder Date, He Accused Her Of Being Needy
Rebekah Scanlan, the Lifestyle and Beauty Editor for News.com. Australia, recently shared yet another #TinderFail with the TikTok community.
And this time, an unsolicited picture sent by one of her dating app matches literally pushed her to tears.
It all began when Rebekah started seeing a guy she matched with on Tinder. They had only gone on a few dates but texted constantly.
And, the last time the pair saw each other, they discussed going out again– which she thought was a good sign.
But then, a few days later, Rebekah realized that the guy never confirmed another set day or time for their date. So, she reached out, but his response took her back.
“Lol, I am going away, so not anytime soon,” the man allegedly responded.
So, at that point, Rebekah decided to leave the situation alone and did not respond. But then, the following evening, the man had the nerve to send her an unsolicited picture completely out of the blue.
“Look, I am down for a bit of flirty texting with a guy who you are seeing– that’s fine. But I have to admit that the full frontal took me by surprise,” Rebekah explained. Yikes!

And considering the last text message she had received from the guy insinuating they would not see each other again, Rebekah was at a loss about what to do.
So, she just literally never responded and went to bed.
After she woke up around 5:00 a.m. the next morning, though, Rebekah realized the man had texted her again– but this time, with a snarky and accusatory message.
“I guess not. Guess you’re ghosting me then,” the text read.
This was shocking to Rebekah– who had no intention of ghosting him but just simply had no clue what to say after receiving the totally unwarranted photo.
So, she was perhaps too nice about it and just told the guy that she was not ghosting him– she had just fallen asleep– and that she hoped he had a good trip.
Surprise, surprise, though; the man never responded. So, about twelve hours later, Rebekah decided to text him again.
And this time, she included a photo of herself in pajamas while holding a glass of wine and reiterated that she hoped the man was enjoying himself.
But, when she was left without a response again, Rebekah realized the man was pissed. And she was not having it.
“I am a big advocate for being open, honest, and having clear communication. So if there was an issue, I wanted him to tell me about it,” she said.
In turn, she decided to send him another message before bed. But this time, it was a voice note basically asking if everything was okay, followed by a message detailing how him not replying was a jerky thing to do.
Finally, the man did answer Rebekah– but instead of owning up to his feelings, he simply said, “Let’s call this quits,” before calling her needy!
So, understandably, Rebekah felt really frustrated and began to cry over this man. It’s not even the guy in particular that made her upset, though– it is the general expectation that women on dating apps should lower their standards and settle for unwarranted photos and lackluster communication.
“It is exhausting,” she finished.
And Rebekah’s all-too-relatable TikTok reached over one hundred and thirty-seven thousand viewers and prompted nearly one thousand comments from women throughout the TikTok community.
The commenters’ overwhelming consensus was that Rebekah should never put up with another man like that again.
“You were being waaay too polite. I already would have ended the conversation after the ‘not anytime soon’ message,” wrote one commenter.
“Do not waste another tear! It is good he has passed you by!” commented a second user.
“You should never text him again. That is not a normal thing to do; that is not flirting,” added a third.
Other women also divulged how much they relate to Rebekah’s struggle.
“Dating can be SO infuriating,” commented one user.
“This is how I feel nowadays, too. We are not crying so much about them because we cannot even get to know them properly. It is just because we are drained,” agreed another user.
“I am honestly going to be single– and happy– forever,” joked a third.
