So basically, he is torn between punishing them for their past actions or being the bigger person.
“The money they want is negligible to me. I could give it to them without in any way compromising my lifestyle. I want to brag about how little it will affect me, but I feel petty. It’s just not much to me, but it is life-changing for them,” he said.
His current wife has decided to keep her opinion out of it and believes that the decision is completely up to him. So, he has been left wrestling with his current state of mind and his late fiancé’s wishes.
“I want to punish them for how they treated me. But I know my late fiancé would want me to help her family.”
