Nonetheless, he went on to meet his current wife– who he got married to about a year ago– and start a new life.
Despite his greatest efforts, though, his late fiancé’s family has made another appearance in his life. And this time, they are searching for money.
This stems all the way back to when he was first engaged and working for a prominent technology company. However, around the time his fiancé passed away, he became extremely discontent at work and had trouble concentrating.
So, he took a leave of absence and endured some terrible mental health struggles. But, after a couple of months, he realized that his late fiancé would have hated seeing him like that.
In turn, he decided to start on a new path. Before she passed, his late fiancé had made him the beneficiary of her life insurance. This allowed him to resign from his job and use the newfound money to fund a start-up company.
And now, even though he is “not Oprah rich,” his late fiancé’s family wants a cut of the cash.
Apparently, her little brother was recently accepted into a prestigious Ivy League university– which is both very exciting but also extremely expensive.
So, her little brother and parents have both been reaching out in hopes of securing some of the insurance money to cover the tuition. In fact, they are even trying to guilt him into doing it by claiming they will need to take out a mortgage on their house just to afford it.
And, if you couldn’t have guessed it, her family is also saying he was wrong to even accept and keep the money in the first place.
But, their accusations, coupled with past events, have left him in an extremely difficult situation.
They abandoned him during one of the worst times of his life– when he had no other family– and now they want his help.
