Her Sister-In-Law Invited A Bunch Of Children Over Her House Without Asking, Then Got Mad That The House Was Not Child-Proofed
This woman recently invited her brother, sister-in-law, and niece over to her house for a little visit. But, the entire afternoon was doomed from the start.
Her sister-in-law unexpectedly invited a bunch of their friends along without asking, and the friends brought all of their tiny kids. Four of them, to be exact. And they were all under two years old.
So, she felt the need to give all of the moms a disclaimer.
“All of the parents were warned that I have a very sweet pup and that the house is safe for dogs. But, they needed to watch their kids,” she recalled.
Nonetheless, the parents apparently were not listening or just did not care– because there was immediate chaos.
First, the parents had an issue with the stairs. They started asking why she did not have a gate and making remarks about how un-gated stairs are so dangerous.
But, she reiterated that she, her partner, and her dog do not need gates since they do not have a child.
And next up was her front door, which prompted a lot more frustration. Apparently, the moms were shocked she did not have knob protectors and kept making comments about how their toddlers could open doors.
However, again, her dog cannot open doors, so why would she have them?

Anyway, the list of things the moms kept commenting on in her home went on and on. However, the real kicker was when one of the moms announced their daughter needed lunch. Then, the mom looked at her pointedly as if she was responsible for feeding the toddler.
Honestly, she had no clue all of these people would be at her house and did not prepare nearly enough food for everybody. So, she thought, “What the hell? I’ll just make pancakes.”
After all, she figured kids always love the sweet treat, and parents cannot complain if their kids are getting fed for free.
But then, one of the moms marched in and claimed that pancakes were just breakfast food. Moreover, the mom said their daughter needed protein– more specifically, chicken nuggets.
Well, her dog is deathly allergic to chicken, so she did not have any in the house. And the mom was completely floored by this.
The mom then actually claimed their baby was going to starve, which was wholly over dramatic. So, she just continued with her original plan and started making the pancakes anyway.
The mom did not really take the hint, though, and followed her into the kitchen. Then, they began rifling through the cabinets like they owned the place and discovered a giant tub of peanut butter in the dog’s medicine cabinet.
For context, her sister-in-law is allergic to nuts and legumes, but she obviously knew this already. So, she sanitized everything before her sister-in-law came over and made sure that the peanut butter was safely put away.
However, the mom just ripped it out of the cabinet before accusing her of trying to kill her sister-in-law. And even after she tried explaining herself, the mom kept berating her about how a dog should not be prioritized over her sister-in-law.
At that point, she had suffered more than enough and decided that no one would be getting pancakes. Instead, she actually just told everyone they needed to get the heck out of her house.
And afterward, she thought she had a right to be really frustrated. But her sister-in-law thought otherwise.
In fact, her sister-in-law texted her and said it was super weird how she prioritized her dog over children and refused to feed the hungry kids.
Plus, her sister-in-law also said she made them look bad in front of all their friends.
But, she never invited any of those people over to her house and thought it was incredibly rude to expect so much from a caught-off-guard host.
Nonetheless, she is not sure if, somehow, she is in the wrong for having a dog-proofed and not a child-proofed house.
