He Swears That When He Was A Teenager, Something Paranormal Sprinted Up Behind Him In His House
When this man was a teenager, he lived at his mother’s house. And one night, he decided to invite his girlfriend over for a nighttime hangout.
After they relaxed in his room for a while, though, he started to get a bit hungry. His girlfriend apparently was, too, so he decided to head to the kitchen and whip them up a snack. More specifically, nachos– because why not, right?
Anyway, he went downstairs alone and walked through his pitch-black house to make the snack. His mother’s home was really small– basically, the size of a large trailer, to put it into perspective.
“So, there is not much space to be freaked out,” he prefaced.
It is also important to note that he and his mother had a lot of pets, including multiple dogs, cats, and two birds. And the animals usually provided him with a sense of security.
That night, though, he would end up fleeing the kitchen while feeling far from comfortable.
It all began after he walked into the kitchen, turned on the lights, and started prepping the nachos. In his house, the living room was right next to the kitchen– and he remembered seeing all three of his cats fast asleep on the couch.
Then, while he waited for the nacho cheese to melt, he decided to pass the time by giving one of his cats, Jax, a belly rub.
Finally, once the nachos were dripping in gooey cheese and ready to be devoured, he was all set to head back upstairs. So, he flicked the kitchen lights off and began walking to his room.

After he took about ten steps in the darkness of his hallway, though, he started to feel a bit uneasy. And then, he heard something sprinting up behind him.
“As I rounded the corner to my room, I heard ‘thud…thud… thud… THUD THUD THUD!’ right behind me. It was getting faster and louder, and I could feel the floor vibrating with each step,” he recalled.
In fact, he claims that some “thing” was so close to him that he could actually feel it. So, at that moment, he pivoted around as fast as he could to turn and face it.
But to his surprise, there was literally nothing there. By that point, the hair on the back of his neck was standing straight up, and his heart was racing. However, the pounding had stopped, and he was left totally dumbfounded.
“The footsteps were so heavy and human-like that my immediate thought was that my girlfriend was pranking me,” he revealed.
Nonetheless, his girlfriend was still in his bedroom. Plus, his dogs were asleep in his mother’s room with the door shut. And if it really were one of his cats, he believes they would have made a noise while fleeing down the long hallway. Besides, how could a ten to fifteen-pound cat pound the floor that loudly?
Anyway, since there was no sign of his family, girlfriend, or pets, his stomach dropped, and he could not stand to stay alone downstairs any longer. So, he quickly shuffled into his room and tried to rid himself of the wave of fear that had crashed onto him like a tsunami. Then, he decided to share his bizarre experience with his girlfriend.
Shockingly, though, his girlfriend never actually believed that he was telling the truth. And to be honest, no one else in his family did either.
“Everyone just chalks it up to the animals. But I don’t know. It did not make any sense,” he vented.
