Check Out This Unique Recipe For Pumpkin Chicken Pillows
I bet you love fall because of all the delicious food we get to try, but sometimes you might wonder if we can make any of those “traditions” different.
Today’s your lucky day!
Have you ever tried a meat-based “pumpkin?” TikTok Katerina has one perfect recipe under her account @kats_kitchen_, which she calls “Pumpkin Chicken Pillows.”
“This recipe is so versatile,” Katerina writes in her description. “You can add jalapenos, even hot sauce, to make a buffalo chicken version!”
The ingredients you need are:
-2 Packs of 16 oz cream cheese
-8 oz Cheddar cheese
-Green onion
TikTok; pictured above are Katerina’s Pumpkin Chicken Pillows
-A bag of shredded Rotisserie chicken
-Browned bacon
-1 Tablespoon garlic powder
-Pepper and salt
-1 Teaspoon of paprika
-2 Packs of crescent rolls
One reason this is an easy recipe is that you can just put all the above ingredients–besides the crescent rolls–in one big mixing bowl and blend them nicely with a spatula.
After the filling, put the bowl aside and open up the crescent rolls. Like a lot of people, Katerina chooses the Pillsbury brand.
During this step, Katerina also gives out a tip, “combine two triangles to make a rectangle.” We will have more space for the fillings.
After placing the fillings, wrap the whole thing into a ball. Now here’s the question, how do you make those dough-looking balls into pumpkins?
Here comes Katerina’s secret. Get ready for another set of ingredients for the pumpkin outward: 2 eggs, Cheeto crumbs, and a splash of milk.
First, blend the eggs and milk and set the Cheeto crumbs aside. Next, get your chicken balls and dip them into the wet ingredients one by one, then coat them with the Cheeto crumbs to make the whole thing orange.
It’s now time to bake those balls! Katerina shows how she uses three to four cooking twines to tie the balls up so they will be shaped exactly like pumpkins.
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit, then bake everything for 15 to 20 minutes.
And there you have your pumpkin-like chicken pillows! Just don’t forget to cut off the twines and add some stems to your “pumpkins.” You may choose any veggies that look like a stem, but Katerina picks green onions for hers.
It is such a fun and delicious recipe to try! Pair them with some chicken gravy, and you are good to go!
