“I was nervous because I haven’t recorded in a long time and felt the pressure of doing it [“Jingle Bell Rock”] in a way that people who had seen Mean Girls would like it the same,” Lindsay said in an exclusive with Entertainment Tonight.
“I mean, with Mean Girls, we had the dance behind it, and I had all the other girls with me. This was just my voice. So, it was nerve-racking. But the outcome was incredible. I’m really, really happy.”
Adding even more Christmas spirit and wholeheartedness to the mix, Lindsay’s song will follow two songs performed by her sister, Aliana Lohan– “Without You” and “Jingle Bells.” Other artists whose renditions are featured in the film include Daphne Willis, Serena Ryder, Michael Damian, John Tesh, and Frankie Avalon.
And according to Lindsay, getting to work behind the camera again with the rest of the cast made all of the nerves worth it.
“I haven’t been on set in such a long time that I was so excited to be there. Like, nothing could bother me. I was just in the happiest spirits and then put Christmas on top of that, and especially working with Chord, we had a lot of fun,” the star said.
