She Went To High School With Taylor Swift And She Says That Nobody Really Liked Taylor Back Then

When I think of Taylor Swift, I think of how many songs, albums, and awards she has written and won over the years of her career. I don’t really listen to Taylor’s music except when it comes on the radio, but she seems like a very talented person.

Though we sometimes never really hear about what people thought about the people they went to high school with, and when you become famous, you are put into a light that never really goes away.

People speculate about your childhood, whether you were liked by your peers, if you were involved in anything good or bad, and so many other things people try to dig up once you’re in the limelight.

One woman named Jessica decided to share why she thought people didn’t like Taylor in their high school.

“So I went to the same high school as Taylor Swift. We grew up in the same town, and I haven’t seen any of you know the people who go over conspiracy theories talk about this. Which makes me think that people don’t know that this happened. So I’ll tell you,” Jessica said.

Now that’s a pretty interesting statement. What could be one of the conspiracy theories surrounding Taylor Swift?

“So in 2006, I’m a freshman in high school, Taylor is, I think, a junior. ‘Teardrops on my guitar’ had just come out, I think over the summer, obviously, she got really big, and that’s the year that she left school; she was homeschooled in 2006,” Jessica explained.

“Something you need to know about Hendersonville High School when she first started becoming super successful is that most people hated her.”

I never would have thought that people hated Taylor in her high school. Was it her success or the subject matter of her songs? Or was she disliked for other reasons?

“Yeah, keep in mind, these are her peers. You know this isn’t like just random people on the internet,” Jessica continued.

“She’s literally like what 16, 17 leaving high school to pursue a career that people are telling her that she could never have. You know, also the guys she was writing these songs about, they were still at, they were still in school, you know, they were still there. And now they have a hit song about them, talking about what a shitty boyfriend they are, you know.”

“There are a lot of rumors going around about how she got her start in the first place… The fact remains is that there were not a lot of people in high school who had nice things to say about her. Fast forward it’s 2009, I’m a senior in high school. My senior class gets invited by Taylor Swift to the 2009 CMA awards.”

Needless to say, they were all excited to get to go to the CMA’s. She thought it was really random, though. They didn’t know why Taylor would want to invite them to the CMA’s. She remembers Taylor slaying the scene, music video of the year, and entertainer of the year.

Jessica finished her video by claiming that Taylor was petty and only invited them to the CMA’s to essentially throw it in their faces. I never would have thought that someone would plan years in advance to get revenge of some sort. I’ve known petty people in my life, but I’ve never known petty like this, and honestly, I admire Taylor more for it.

People that were her peers told her that she wasn’t going to succeed, and she proved them wrong and wanted to show them how wrong they were.
