Her Stepmom Tried To Kick Her Out Of Her Father’s House For Letting A Dog On The Bed, So She Finally Spilled The Beans That She Technically Owns Their House, And Now Her Dad Is Furious
10This twenty-nine-year-old woman’s father recently got married to his wife, Maria, about a year ago after they dated for about four years.
And following the marriage, her dad really wanted to purchase a larger home for him and Maria to live in.
The only problem, though, was that he could not afford to do that without selling the home he lived in already– which was a unique property he loved a lot.
So, even though she and her husband now live abroad, they both really liked the area her father lived in and decided to help him out.
More specifically, her husband offered to buy a house in the region so that way her dad and Maria could live in it.
And her dad graciously accepted, but only under one condition: Maria could never find out that it was not him who paid for the house.
“But this made no difference to me, so I agreed, and the house they live in is in my name. I never planned to tell her,” she said.
Recently, though, she went back to her home country and decided to stay with her dad for a while. And the entire time that she was there, Maria apparently made it clear that she was nothing but an inconvenience. Moreover, her just spending time with her dad seemed to really annoy Maria.
She just simply is not a confrontational person, though, and she honestly does not let a lot of stuff get to her. So, she let much of Maria’s words and actions just roll off her back.

Well, that was until just two days before she was set to leave town when Maria waltzed into her room and noticed that her dad’s dog was sitting on her bed.
Now, her father had had this dog since way before he ever met Maria. And she actually helped her dad raise the dog together.
So, even though Maria doesn’t allow the pet on her dad’s bed, she has always allowed the pup to sleep on hers.
Despite that, though, Maria ended up flipping out and claiming that her allowing the dog on her bed was “the final straw.”
Then, Maria claimed to have had enough of her disrespect and even told her that she had to leave the house.
However, she really did not want to deal with a ton of drama and attempted to de-escalate the situation.
She told Maria that they both should just relax and wait for her dad to get home. That way, they could all sit down and talk through the issue.
Maria did not care to wait for any civil discussion, though, and just kept trying to push her out of the house. And when she refused, Maria claimed to have the authority to make her.
So, she ended up spending several minutes trying to explain to Maria how absurd it was to try and kick her out of her dad’s house without at least speaking to her dad first. Maria did not care about any of that, though, and kept claiming that since they were married, it was technically Maria’s house too.
And at that point, she ended up just chuckling out of frustration and coming clean.
“I said that since my name is on the deed, it’s technically my house. But, there’s no need to get technical, and we should just wait for my dad,” she recalled.
That totally shocked Maria, though, who ended up leaving the room immediately afterward. Then, once her dad finally got home and she told him what had happened, he went to speak to Maria– which resulted in a massive screaming match. And Maria did not speak to her or her father until after she finally left two days later.
Anyway, ever since then, her dad has been pretty pissed off that she told Maria the truth. And honestly, she gets that. At the same time, though, she has also started being ostracized by Maria’s children– who keep texting her and calling her a jerk for making Maria feel like a guest in her own house.
However, she made it clear that Maria was not a guest. Instead, both Maria and her dad are tenants.
“And the only point I was trying to make was that Maria didn’t have any business trying to kick me out of my father’s house, let alone my own property. I didn’t take it there until she did,” she vented.
With that being said, though, she has still been left wondering if bringing up the home’s ownership took the argument too far and if revealing the truth makes her a total jerk to her dad.
