Aside from this, she would single him out during group outings and try to get him to stay longer. Therefore, recently, he decided to propose that the group should get drinks after class, and after talking with her for a bit one-on-one, he would ask her out on a date.
She agreed and said she would be there.
“We get to class, do our thing, and then go to the bar,” he recalled. “She appears to gravitate towards me the entire time, and I actually end up buying her dinner and a drink because she left her card at home. Things are going perfectly until it’s time to go.”
As he was paying their tab, mentally preparing himself to ask her out on a date, his close friend from the group walked up to her. His friend ended up asking her out before he could.
Although he’s unsure if she’s into his friend, she said yes before leaving the bar. He knew that his best friend had been going through a lonely period in his life, so he was supportive, but also feeling really down about missing his shot with this girl.
“We’re still talking, but at this point, I don’t know if my window of opportunity has closed,” he added.
Do you think he should still ask her out anyway?
