She got to share her opinion with more of their family members recently at her sister’s fiancé’s birthday party.
When the reception topic came up, her sister wanted their family to side with her so she could get the reception she wanted.
Most of their family did end up supporting her sister’s reception idea, but she was honest and said that she liked the beach idea better. Then, her sister got super angry and called her and her fiancé “trashy” for wanting a beach reception.
As they started arguing, she told her sister that since she got to plan the ceremony she wanted, her fiancé should be allowed to make plans for the reception. Then, she told her sister she was a bridezilla, which really set her off, and more family members got involved in the chaos.
Finally, her sister started crying and accused her of hating her and “always being against her wishes.”
Then, before storming off, her sister told her fiancé that he should be marrying her instead since he was willing to make her cry over the reception planning. Now, she’s starting to feel like the bad guy. Her mom told her that she should’ve been more supportive of her sister since she’s been dreaming about her wedding for a long time.
Should she have sided with her sister instead of being honest and agreeing with her future brother-in-law?
