He offered to meet her at the bar, but at first, Stephanie turned him down because he had blown it with her already. But he continued insisting, and finally, she relented. After she hung up, Stephanie was about two drinks in. Ten minutes later, Mike called again, asking if they could go to a different bar.
Stephanie snapped and told him she wasn’t going out of her way to meet up with him after he left in the middle of their first date. When she hung up, the people sitting around her, who were regulars at the bar that Stephanie knew well, questioned why she was so upset on the phone, becoming fully invested in her situation. So Stephanie filled them in on everything.
The two guys beside her showered her with praise and expressed their disbelief at how anyone could’ve left her during a date.
When Mike walked in, everyone in the bar started reprimanding him and giving him a hard time for what he did to Stephanie. At this point, Stephanie was drunk, but she attempted to draw him away from the jeers by playing a game of pool.
However, once she saw him play, she was immediately put off by him because he was so bad at pool. After wrapping up the game, he went to go pay. Stephanie was so drunk that she forgot he was still there. So she began telling the people around her about how he gave her the ick. And one guy even asked for her phone number after hearing how much she disliked Mike.
“So I called him icky and gave my number to another guy like right in front of him, and I didn’t even know I did it,” said Stephanie.
