But then, Ava messaged and claimed she wanted to meet up yesterday at 4:00 p.m. She agreed to that and was excited to finally meet up with her friend.
Well, the morning of, she decided to text Ava to confirm the plan. And surprise, surprise: Ava canceled again– claiming she needed to pack and wanted to spend some time with family before leaving.
Afterward, Ava asked if they could just meet up tomorrow at 5:00 p.m. instead, but that didn’t work for her since she had class until 6:00 p.m. and needed to study afterward.
So, she was forced to turn down Ava’s suggestion. She also decided to text her friend and be upfront about her frustrations.
“I sent Ava a message saying that if she doesn’t want to hang out with me, then to just say so instead of making plans and then canceling them,” she revealed.
Ava wound up getting rubbed the wrong way by her honesty, though, and swore that she had just been busy. Plus, her friend accused her of being a jerk since she knew that Ava was preparing to move away.
Anyway, since they got into this argument, she’s been left feeling pretty confused and is now wondering whether picking a fight with her friend over constantly canceling their plans made her a real jerk or not.
Can you understand why she got frustrated with Ava? Does Ava’s excuse make sense, or would you still be annoyed? How would you have reacted in this situation?
