She Told Her Husband He Has To Pick Between Their Little Girls Or Their Family Dog

This woman and her husband have three little girls together, and their oldest is five-years-old. They also have a family dog, a Golden Retriever, who is currently seven-years-old.

Ever since her middle daughter turned two, she had a hunch that she started to develop an allergy to dogs.

Her middle daughter always had a bit of swelling under her eyes, and some days seemed to be harder than others.

“It’s not to the point that it is bothering her, but still noticeable,” she explained. “It also seems to flare up more when she’s playing with the dog.”

“I told my husband that maybe she’s allergic to something (like the dog), and we should get her tested.”

After taking her middle daughter to the doctor for a wellness checkup, she mentioned wanting to get her tested to see what she was allergic to.

The doctor replied that she would need to take a sample of her middle daughter’s blood in order to check for allergies.

When she arrived home from the doctor, she informed her husband about what they would have to do for the allergy testing, and he didn’t like it at all.

Her husband stated that they would be proking and prodding their middle daughter for no reason and causing her pain, so he opted out of following through with the process.

“He also made a comment like even if she’s allergic to the dog, are we really going to get rid of him,” she said.

“I was a little frustrated but eventually just let it go. Fast forward to today. Our littlest girl is 1 1/2. She has a constant running nose and watery eyes, and it’s been like this for months. Again, I suspect she is allergic to something.”

“I took her to get an allergy test without telling my husband. When the results came back, it confirmed that she is indeed allergic to the dog.”

She took the results straight to her husband, and they got into an enormous fight over it. He was wildly upset that she had taken their youngest daughter in for an allergy test behind his back, which she understood.

She did it because she was aware that her husband wouldn’t have allowed her to get the allergy test if she asked for his permission first.

As they kept arguing, her husband declined to find their dog a new home. He insisted their youngest daughter’s allergic symptoms were not bad and would have to improve with time.

“He also says he is allergic to cats but still grew up with them in the house, and he is fine,” she continued.

“I was so upset, so I told him he needs to choose the dog or our girls. I don’t think it’s fair to put my girls through this when it could be fixed.”

She’s left wondering if it’s wrong of her to force her husband to make a choice. What do you think?
