Human-Caused Threats Are Decimating Bee Populations In The U.S., But We Can Still Reverse Or Mitigate These Effects

Not all bees are the same. Certain species help certain crops grow. One of the most important pollinators on the planet is bumblebees. They pollinate crops like clovers, cranberries, and blueberries.

They are also one of the only insect pollinators of tomatoes. To help the bee population thrive, you can plant a bee-friendly garden.

If you don’t have room for a full garden, add a flowering shrub in your yard or small containers on the patio. Opt for plants that are native to your area and avoid using pesticides.

You can also join or support a number of programs associated with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, such as the North American Pollinator Protection Campaign, a nonprofit dedicated to the conservation of pollinators.
