After being separated from his now ex-wife for six months, TikToker Austin (@austingroo) called her up one day so she could come over and fill out the divorce paperwork. It was nine in the morning, and he could hear another man talking in the background as they were getting out of bed.
Then, she drove all the way to his house. Once they sat down to do the paperwork, she immediately burst into tears. When Austin asked why she was crying, she told him that she wasn’t ready for a divorce, even though she was the one who decided to leave him and go off with some other guy.
Ultimately, they were able to sign everything and go through with the divorce. She even asked to use the same lawyer he had.
However, the lawyer was arrested for burglary, which made things complicated. They ended up doing shared custody. Now, the rough patch is over, and life has gotten better.
In another video, he clarified that he had known his ex-wife was seeing someone else since about two weeks into their separation, so at that point, it didn’t bother him much anymore.
They had been married for eight years, and even during their separation, they were still talking to each other every day.
He found out about it at work one day when a friend of his called to tell him. Apparently, his friend’s coworker came into work that morning bragging about a girl he had hooked up with over the weekend.
When he showed Austin’s friend a picture of her, he saw that it was Austin’s wife. Of course, when Austin calmly confronted her about it, she got all upset and offended.
In the comments section, many TikTok users shared their own divorce stories and how their exes had also been unfaithful.

“My sister’s ex-husband did the same thing. Had a girlfriend and was begging her not to divorce him even though they had been living separately for over 15 months,” commented one user.
“My ex told me he wanted a divorce via email. We filled out the paperwork together three days later. I found out he was cheating. Six months later, he still hadn’t filed, so I did. I also have trust issues,” wrote another.
“This week, I found out that my ex-husband was on dating apps two weeks after I asked for a divorce. We were together for eight years,” added someone else.
