One day, TikToker Leticia Rodriguez (@leticiaxrodriguez) decided to go for a walk on a trail with her mom and their dogs. On the trail, they came face to face with danger. Luckily, Leticia’s hobby of watching true crime saved their lives.
So, they walked onto a more secluded trail and reached an area with a little bridge. Leticia and her mom stopped at the bridge to give their dogs some water.
Suddenly, Leticia heard footsteps behind them. A man walked up and greeted them. He looked at the dogs and asked if they were friendly.
Leticia’s instinct was to tell him that the dogs were not friendly. One of the dogs was guarded, and Leticia could tell that it sensed something was off with the man. When the man started to inch closer to them, her dog barked, causing the man to back away.
He was wearing a white T-shirt, gray basketball shorts, dress shoes, and sunglasses. He was bald and appeared to be in his late forties or early fifties.
He was also holding a flip phone. He told Leticia and her mom that he was being followed by some guys.
“I try not to look because I don’t want to keep my eyes off of this guy,” said Leticia. “But from the corner of my eye, I do see men standing at each side of the entrances of this bridge we’re at, so we really had no way out. We were kind of cornered, and these men were both wearing blue T-shirts, a dark gray hat, sunglasses, and jeans.”
Leticia got up and signaled to her mom to start heading out. She told the man to stay safe. He stated that he was running back to his car to get protection. From watching true crime, Leticia knew to stay silent so as not to trigger the men.
She walked the other way down the trail and immediately began calling everyone she knew. When someone finally picked up, she talked loudly and informed them that they were almost out of the park.

When Leticia passed one of the men, she heard him say, “Cut the cell towers. This won’t take too long.”
Her heart dropped. The men started following them. Leticia licked her cup of coffee and dropped it somewhere, along with her hair tie and several strands of hair to leave behind DNA evidence. She also called the cops and gave them a description of the men.
“When I was talking to the cop, she was telling me that there are many people who stay in trails and do things like that just to scare people and to intimidate them,” said Leticia.
“So, just be careful when you go out on walks, especially if you’re going by yourself.”
