In September of 2018, TikToker Tesha Nicole (@iamteshanicole) got married. During the wedding planning process, her husband made it clear that he wanted her to have her dream wedding and not focus too much on money or budgeting. He reassured her that he would fund the wedding she wanted.
So, she booked her dream venue, bought her dream dress, and had everything else her heart desired. Everything was paid for with cash. It was all going smoothly. However, a big storm was expected to blow through on the weekend of her wedding.
Her out-of-town guests were panicking because flights were getting canceled. They actually ended up driving to her wedding because they were committed to being there.
The turnout for her wedding was still really good, and the sun came out. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and the reception were a success.
During the wedding ceremony, they performed the ritual of washing hands to represent forgiveness and a fresh start. They also mixed sand to represent them coming together as one. Then, they started their own family and had a child together.
Six years later, she found out that one of her wedding guests was actually her husband’s mistress. They had been carrying on an affair during their entire relationship and engagement.
The mistress had embraced her and congratulated her to her face. They continued the affair during the marriage as well.
Tesha has no interest in pursuing legal action. By the time she found out about the affair in 2024, she was already emotionally detached from him. She didn’t have the energy to care.
She did delete all the wedding pictures, throw away her dress, and get rid of everything that had to do with the wedding. All their wedding and anniversary gifts have been burnt to ashes and are now sitting in the local dump somewhere.

“I did not want to keep any of that stuff because none of it was real, none of it meant anything, and so I just had no desire to have any memories attached to that day,” said Tesha.
Even though her husband betrayed her, she is not against marriage at all. She actually thinks that marriage is beautiful when it’s done with the right person. She would get married again if she met someone compatible.
Since being married to her ex-husband, she has completely grown and evolved as a woman. If she met someone like him today, she would never bother giving him the time of day.
“I am at peace, thriving mentally, spiritually, emotionally,” said Tesha. “What was meant to destroy me did not. It tried. It might have come close, but it did not. I am doing really good. I am well, and I’m excited about my next chapter.”
