Genetics have such an influence over our uniqueness, and they can be pretty crazy in that you can have a full-sibling that you look nothing like.
How would you feel if genetics were to blame for your kids appearing as polar opposites, yet your in-laws used that to say you had an affair?
This woman has two children, and her youngest is two. She is white and has green eyes, while her husband is Asian (50% Thai and 50% Chinese).
The first child she gave birth to could be her husband’s clone, except with a paler complexion. As for her second child? Well, she came out with super pale skin and jaw-dropping blue eyes.
Her youngest does not look Asian in the least, and she is 12 months younger than her oldest. She actually was awestruck over her youngest’s eyes when she took her first look at her.
Instead of being excited to have another addition to the family, her in-laws literally jumped to attack her over how different her baby looked.
“Immediately, his family accused me of having an affair, which I didn’t. I was 3 months postpartum, staring (and sobbing) over a positive pregnancy test deep in the newborn trenches, when would I have even found the time to leave the house to meet somebody?” she asked.
“My husband wholeheartedly denied any cheating and shrugged everything off, stating, ‘She’s my kid, even though she doesn’t look like me.’ He waved off the idea of getting a paternity test from day one.”
“After two years of his family’s snide…comments and side eyes, occasional random comments from strangers asking ‘Do they have the same father??’ I finally bit the bullet and got a paternity test. Husband was irritated [that] I spent the money.”

She can’t wait for the day when she can throw the piece of paper bearing the paternity results in the faces of her in-laws so they can finally apologize to her.
Genetics are bizarre, and her daughter is indeed half Asian, but it’s not noticeable in the least.
Boy, I’ve heard this story so many times from various people: their child doesn’t look like their parent, so somebody in the family accuses them of infidelity.
It’s sad that so many people can’t accept that genetics are a grab bag, and if siblings don’t look alike, that’s not a reason to race to conclusions or doubt paternity.
Anyway, her husband is a good man for sticking by her no matter what and not for once falling victim to the lies her in-laws were spewing about her.
What do you think? Will this finally make her in-laws treat her better?
