For many years, TikToker Amariana (@.everythingyouthink) and her family lived with unanswered questions about what happened to her beloved grandmother. When closure finally came, it was a relief, but it was also absolutely devastating.
Her grandma’s remains were found by her neighbor in the shed behind her home. Her grandma was named Terri Ann Ackerman, and she was missing for seven years.
Terri was reported missing on August 24, 2018. She was 56 years old at the time of her disappearance. She was last seen at her home in Lochbuie, Colorado.
Her personal items, such as her cell phone, wallet, car, and keys, were still at home. According to her family members, Terri had been upset the night before she vanished and was concerned about babysitting her grandkids.
Her body was found after the passing of her husband. Terri’s husband, who was friends with the neighbor, had recently passed away, so the neighbor called a professional cleaning service to clean up the property because there was just too much stuff.
It was a very hazardous environment. There were dead animals and cat urine everywhere. The shed in the backyard was stuffed full of junk. Amariana and her family weren’t able to clean it because it was that disgusting.
On September 10, 2025, the cleaners were tackling the shed when they called the neighbor over to check something out. They saw what looked like Halloween skeleton decorations on the floor. But when the neighbor picked up the bones, he realized that they were actual human remains.
He called the police, and Amariana’s family was notified that her grandmother had been found in the shed just a few steps behind her home.
They had not been to her grandmother’s house since she went missing because they suspected that her husband was behind her disappearance.

At the time Terri went missing, the police searched the property with cadaver dogs. Amariana and her family had looked through the house as well, hoping to find any clues. Despite those efforts, no one found anything until September 2025.
Amariana believes that her grandma’s body had been moved to the shed at some point after the initial investigation. Even now, questions remain unanswered.
“This is something that my family has fought for, for a very long time, to get her name out there and just for people to know her story because we are so limited on the things that we can say and do because it still is an open investigation, and there are still so many things that we do or do not know,” said Amariana.
The case surrounding Terri Ann Ackerman is still an ongoing investigation as authorities continue to piece together what happened in the years since she disappeared.
