The day that TikToker Kee (@iiamkee21) realized she could not live with a man was when her then-boyfriend started howling like a wolf out of nowhere while she was on an important call for work.
“And then, if that wasn’t bad enough, one day, I was just taking a nap in the middle of the day, and he turned on all the lights in the bedroom and shook me awake and asked if I was sleeping,” said Kee.
She knew she needed to do something about this, so she came up with a plan to get him to leave her alone. One day, she set her alarm for 3:00 a.m. and let it go off for a little bit before she stopped it.
She sat there for 15 minutes and then proceeded to bite him and act like she was having a seizure. She bit down until she tasted blood.
He was screaming and tried to push her away, but she kept shaking and kept her teeth clamped down on his face. He called emergency services, thinking that she really was having a seizure.
She was freaking out and flipping around until the ambulance came. Then, she sat up regularly and acted confused.
Finally, when they got to the hospital, she explained that she would have seizures when she wasn’t getting an adequate amount of rest, and for the past two weeks, she hadn’t been sleeping well.
“I am 100% crazy now that I say it out loud,” said Kee. “Why did I do that to him? I mean, I wanted him to leave me alone because who shakes somebody awake?”
“But it was also one of those things where I just was…coming out of the relationship realizing I don’t like him, and we were only 60 days in, but I was already stuck living in his apartment.”

Many TikTok users described similar situations and what they did to resolve them in the comments section.
“One time, I had a man shake me awake to ask me if I was aware that I was currently asleep. Even while processing this question mid-REM cycle, the first thing I said was, ‘You woke me up to ask me if I knew I was sleeping?’ He walked off. Didn’t say another word,” shared one user.
“My man tried one time to wake me up from a nap. He never tried that again,” commented another.
“Happened to me when I was married. I had just gotten the baby and myself to sleep after working a late shift. He came home and woke me up screaming. I immediately filed for divorce,” added a third.
“Mine used to wake me up at the crack of dawn to make him breakfast and turn on all the lights while I slept. One time, I caught him purposely walking hard and loud to wake me, laughing at videos on social media. I grew so much resentment for him. Didn’t go crazy, just took my stuff, and moved out,” wrote someone else.
