“My daughter is just as important as Gabby Petito!” Cheryl continued. “As if what happened to that sweet girl wasn’t heartbreaking enough… the true tragedy is that you learned NOTHING from it that helps prevent this from happening again!”

“You’d rather dismiss alarming information I gave your police department the day I reported her missing! You did NOTHING!!! You chose to ignore the red flags, and try to push a narrative that “We see this all the time”… NOW I understand what that meant. Instead of investigate, or do ANYTHING other than toss her file in the pile of “Well she’s probably living in tent city and just isn’t calling family” HOW DARE YOU!”

While other people around the country sat down to have dinner with their loved ones on Thanksgiving, Cheryl passed out flyers for Lateche to raise awareness for her daughter, who remains.

It’s been nearly a month since Cheryl has heard from Lateche, and she learned that her daughter was last spotted on November 4th at the 7-Eleven that sits on Park Boulevard.

Lateche was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, black leggings, black tennis shoes, and holding a backpack with a white and black checkered print. Lateche is 160 pounds and 5 feet 8 inches. She has brown eyes and dark brown hair. If you have any information related to her disappearance, please call the San Diego Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit at 619.531.2277.
