Her Two Best Friends Started Dating But They Quickly Broke Up Over Her

The frustrating situation could have dissipated if Judy had actually confronted her friend, but instead, she became passive-aggressive toward her.

“What irked me was the fact that Judy never brought up her concerns/feelings with me … as her best friend, I’d be happy to discuss and come up with solutions.”

Eventually, this rift caused the couple to split. Judy insisted that Will talked to their friend too much while they were dating—though, from their friend’s perspective, that’s completely untrue.

Though this breakdown of friendships and a relationship is unfortunate, it seems like Judy has a lot of self-work to do before she’s secure enough to enter into another relationship.

Will and his friend were casualties of misplaced jealousy, which might have damaged their friendship permanently, too.

She expressed not knowing what to say to Judy or how to make things better. “I feel like we three will fall apart because of me, although I haven’t DONE anything really.”

Redditors weighed in on the post; one believed that Judy’s projected insecurities didn’t ultimately cause the breakup. “You rejected Will but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t still like you. Judy might have been a rebound, for all we know, and people feel it when they’re a second choice.”

The original poster said she hoped this isn’t what happened since that’s an awful way to have treated Judy.

But, unfortunately, it seems like they’ll never know the real reason until everyone’s able to sit down and talk it out.
