One user recalled a drink order that had a base of strawberry açai lemonade with one shot of espresso, apple juice and was drizzled with caramel. Someone had ordered this monstrosity at 5:45 AM.
Some orders didn’t make any sense because of the way they asked for certain drinks to be prepared improperly, like shaken espressos with no espressos or americanos with no water.
Another frustrated barista commented a story about a customer who became furious after finding out the coffee shop did not offer goat milk. The woman would not accept almond, soy, coconut, or oat milk. She wanted “alternative dairy.”
The customer horror stories don’t end there.
One user wrote about how she had a customer come back to the store complaining that his drink was cold. It sounds like a reasonable thing to complain about; however, the drink was cold because he ordered it 2 hours prior and was “too busy” to drink it.
The comments go on and on with crazy drink requests and stories of terribly rude customers.
The video was a great excuse to laugh at some silly stories, but it also served as a reminder to treat baristas with respect! They work hard and have to put up with so much.
